The Ayushman Bharat Pradhan Mantri Jan Arogya Yojana (AB PM-JAY) was officially launched on September 23, 2018. This govt initiative aims to provide free healthcare to around 50 crore people by covering their hospital expenses. It provides up to 5 lakh per family per year in health insurance.
In this article, I will show you a simple method to check if your name is in the Ayushman card list.
How to Check Ayushman Card List?
Here are the methods to check the PM-JAY Ayushman beneficiary list:
By Using Family ID, PMJAY ID, Aadhaar
- Step 1: Navigate to the official NHA beneficiary website at beneficiary.nha.gov.in.

- Step 2: Log in with your mobile number and Aadhaar OTP.
- Step 3: On the Beneficiary Search page, enter your PMJAY ID, Ration Card Number, Family ID, or Aadhaar Card number.

- Step 4: Click on the search option to display the Ayushman Beneficiary list on your screen.

By Using Location
- Step 1: Visit the official website at https://beneficiary.nha.gov.in/.
- Step 2: Log in using your mobile number and the OTP received on your Aadhaar-linked number.
- Step 3: On the Beneficiary Search page, input your location details, such as your district, village/town, etc.

- Step 4: Click the search button to view the Beneficiary list on your screen.
By following these steps, you can check the Ayushman Bharat card list and confirm if you or your family members are eligible for the benefits under the PM-JAY scheme.
Through PM-JAY website
- Visit the official PM-JAY website.
- Use the "Am I Eligible" feature to enter your mobile number or Aadhaar details.
- If your details match the database, your family will appear in the list of eligible beneficiaries.
How to Find Ayushman Card Hospital List?
If you want to find hospitals empanelled under the PMJAY scheme where you can receive health benefits using your card, follow the steps below.
- Step 1: Go to https://pmjay.gov.in/, the official Ayushman Bharat scheme website.
- Step 2: Click on "Find Hospital" in the top menu.

- Step 3: On the next page, fill in details like your state, district, type of hospital, hospital name, speciality, and empanelment type.
- Step 4: Enter the captcha and click "Search."

- Step 5: View the list of hospitals where you can get free treatment up to ₹5 lakh.
By following these steps, you can easily find hospitals empanelled under the Ayushman Bharat scheme, where you can avail the benefits of the PM-JAY scheme.
Note: Some states have opted out of the Ayushman Bharat scheme, so you can't get free treatment there. Check the table below to see if the PMJAY scheme is available in your state or UT:

Process for empanelling hospitals
Process for empanelling hospitals under the Ayushman Bharat Pradhan Mantri Jan Arogya Yojana (PM-JAY):
- Empanellment Criteria:
- Hospitals must have at least 10 inpatient beds (exceptions for specific centers like dialysis).
- Must provide both medical and surgical services.
- Round-the-clock availability of qualified medical staff.
- Equipped with essential services like a pharmacy, laboratory, and blood bank (in-house or nearby outsourcing).
- Must have proper arrangements for emergency services, ICU, operation theater, and post-op facilities.
- Application and Registration:
- Hospitals apply for empanellment on the Hospital Empanelment Module (HEM) at hospitals.pmjay.gov.in.
- They need to create an account on the HEM portal, fill out a detailed application, and undergo a verification process.
- Verification and Approval:
- The application goes through desktop and physical verification.
- A District Empanelment Committee (DEC) conducts inspections, verifying details like hospital infrastructure, staff, and services.
- After successful verification, the empanellment is approved, and the hospital is notified via SMS or email.
- Empanelment of Specialized Hospitals:
- Hospitals offering specialized services (e.g., oncology, cardiology) must meet additional criteria, including having ICU facilities and specialists on call.
